Measurement automation platforms are unique to each dam because of the many types of measurements they are required to collect. Our platforms can measure all the parameters required for a successful dam monitoring program, including, but not limited to, water level and flow, strain, and vibration. In addition to real-time data measurement, each measurement device will alert you of changes in factors such as water level, load, pressure, and tilt if they move beyond acceptable ranges. Historical and real-time data can be transmitted directly to the cloud or to your PC. Measurement automation platforms are rugged, low power, and adaptable to the harshest, most remote environments.
Let our experienced application engineers to make this easy as they help you build a dam monitoring system specific to the measurements you need.

Geotechnical Measurement Automation Platform
The versatility of our platforms allows them to be customized for each application. From the most basic devices with just a few channels to scalable platforms that measure hundreds of channels.
The versatility of automated measurement platforms can also be extended to the field of control. Each platform can monitor and control external equipment based on time or measured conditions, saving time and equipment, and providing early warning or prevention of hazardous conditions. These platforms are strong enough to be used in geotechnical studies and dams around the world.
Low power consumption generally enables our platforms to be powered by solar panels and batteries. You can also use a 110/220 volt power supply, vehicle power, or an external 12 volt battery. Non-volatile data storage and battery-backed clock ensure data acquisition and integrity.
Sensors for Geotechnical Measurement
The versatility of our automated measurement platforms starts with sensor compatibility. Our platform can measure almost all commercially available sensors, allowing them to be used in different ways for a variety of measurements. For example, the following are common parameters measured by sensors in our platform:
air pressure
Pore water pressure

Communication
The availability of multiple communication options for retrieving, storing, and displaying data also allows the platform to be customized to meet your exact needs. Onsite communication modes include: Directly connecting to a PC (or laptop), PC card, storage module, and platform keyboard/monitor. Telecommunications options include short-haul, telephony (including speech synthesis and cellular), RF, multipoint, and satellite.
