This project is to investigate the feasibility of combining Teleseismic full waveform inversion (TSFWI) with dense array of seismic nodes for imaging active volcanoes. As modelling frequencies and station array density increase this technique also has great potential for cost-effective and non-invasive imaging of shallower structures (e.g. geothermal and CCS). If you have geophysical, geological, computational, or applied mathematics background and are interested in computational seismology, please take a look at this great opportunity to get into this emerging field with one of the world's leading research teams.
