The "Sanchakou" area, where the Xianshuihe-Longmenshan-Anninghe fault zone is distributed and intersected, is a special structural area in the eastern margin of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It has frequent strong earthquakes in the history, and is a "window" and natural laboratory for studying the seismic activities of Sichuan-Yunnan rhomboid-shaped blocks. This observation is of great significance for studying the deep morphology and deformation characteristics of this fault zone.
A total of 160 sets of integrated short-period seismic data acquisition system observation equipment were deployed in the project, among which 120 sets of SmartSolo Scientific IGU-16HR EB 3C three-component data acquisition system showed strong advantages in the project observation, with its small structure, light weight, easy deployment and operation. The super endurance and waterproof capability provide a strong guarantee for the success of the project. After 105 days of observation, the project team finally completed data acquisition in early January 2021, obtaining about 5T of high-quality raw data. In addition, the remaining power of the device can also support about 25 days of power supply, which can meet up to 130 days of continuous collection.
