A SmartSolo environmental monitoring station equipped with Kipp & Zonen radiometer and NHGZQ80 solar tracker was installed to determine the solar energy resources available on site. In order to alert cities when the wind is too strong to operate solar panels safely, the station measures and collects direct and diffuse solar radiation data on global, as well as other parameters such as wind speed and wind direction.
SmartSolo provides data collection, hosting, quality control and reporting for the site through data services. According to a predetermined collection interval, Data Dervices collects data remotely through a cellular modem and uploads the data to the SmartSolo Cloud server. The quality control has been provided to ensure data quality and integrity. The data is then compiled into a monthly report to help CMH and NRCan check the effectiveness of this station.
SmartSolo MS8008 solar observation system is a standard meteorological environment monitoring station designed and produced according to the meteorological observation standards of WMO and IEC standards. At the same time, it also meets the requirements of GB / T19964 "Technical Provisions for Photovoltaic Power Generation access to Power System" and Q / GDW11000 "Specification for Information Exchange of Grid Connected Dispatching and Operation of Photovoltaic Power Stations".

5. Self-calibration sensitivity: the accuracy of radiation data plays an important role in guiding and analyzing the power generation of photovoltaic power station. According to the requirements of JJG 458-1996 total radiation meter issued by National Meteorological Measurement Station, the accuracy of solar radiation sensor needs to be calibrated for at least two years.
